The VLG exists to advocate, support, and strengthen the position of VICSES volunteers so they can continue serving their communities with professionalism and pride.
The representative body for volunteers of the Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES), the VLG was established by volunteers, for volunteers. We ensure our collective voice is heard in decision-making, policy development, and the future direction of emergency management in our state.
What we do
Representation
Provide a united and independent voice for volunteers in discussions with VICSES, government, and emergency management partners.
Advocacy
Campaign for fair funding, safe facilities, and sustainable support for VICSES volunteers.
Governance
Maintain transparent policies, democratic elections, and accountable leadership to reflect the needs of members.
Recognition
Celebrate and promote the achievements of volunteers through awards, events, and campaigns.

Provide members with tools, policies, and information to support their units and leadership roles.
