VICSES Volunteer Leadership Group

Who We Are

The Volunteer Leadership Group (VLG) is the representative body for VICSES volunteers across Victoria. We were established by volunteers, for volunteers, to ensure our collective voice is heard in decision-making, policy development, and the future direction of emergency management in our state.

Our mission is simple:

To advocate, support, and strengthen VICSES volunteers so they can continue serving their communities with professionalism and pride.

What we do

Representation – We provide a united and independent voice for volunteers in discussions with VICSES, government, and emergency management partners.
Advocacy – We campaign for fair funding, safe facilities, and sustainable support for VICSES volunteers.
Governance – We maintain transparent policies, democratic elections, and accountable leadership to reflect the needs of members.
Recognition – We celebrate and promote the achievements of volunteers through awards, events, and campaigns.
Resources – We provide members with tools, policies, and information to support their units and leadership roles.
